Attacks on Paris #parisjetaime
Last night, we were sitting at home, deciding which museum to visit in the morning and watching the end of the France-Germany game. But then we got word of the attacks in Paris, our new home. Suddenly, we were bombarded with messages from friends and family making sure we were okay.
With the French news on, we began to piece together what happened with help from the internet. We realized that many of the attacks occurred in Republique, a mere 15-minutes from our apartment. It was surreal. The rest of the night consisted of sitting silently in disbelief, having a couple drinks and trying to understand what was happening outside.
It's early afternoon on Saturday and things aren't resolved; there are many questions yet to be answered. At the moment, I'm not sure how I feel about everything other than so so sad for the victims and their families.
We'll be staying home for a while, as recommended for all Paris residents. Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, check-ins and love, for us and for all the residents of Paris.
xo,
Whitney
